  ARRIVING BY PLANE

John Paul II Kraków-Balice Airport is modern and easy to navigate. There is 24hr currency exchange office as well as ATM's (bankomat) provided by PKO bank and tourist information. There is also Katowice-Pyrzowice Airport at a distance around 100km from Kraków city centre.

 
At the main arrival hall of the airport there will be run IOHA 2025 stand, where you would find any necessary information.

How to get to the City Centre from the Kraków-Balice Airport? 

TRANSFER BY CAR
JORDAN Congress Bureau provides transport services (passenger cars with an English speaking driver, minibuses and coaches) for individual guests and groups from / to the airport or railway station to hotels. TRAIN
The Kraków Airport train station is located near the passenger terminal, at the rear of the multi-storey car park. Travelling by train is the fastest way to get from the airport to the city center (the journey takes about 20 minutes). Train operates 7 days a week. Full timetable available here. One way ticket price: 17,- PLN. Tickets to buy: passenger terminal, train station (ticket machine), train.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The bus terminates at the National Museum which is located in the city centre. Journey takes around 30 minutes. Kraków-Balice Airport is located in zone I+II Aglomeration (one way ticket price in zone I+II Aglomeration: 6,- PLN). We reccomend to use bus connection browser.

 

  ARRIVING BY TRAIN

The Main Railway Station (Dworzec Główny) is conveniently situated in the very center of the city. There is a good train connection between Warszawa and Kraków (Express or Inter City trains go every hour during day, journey lasts less than 3hr). Kraków has direct connections with: Berlin, Budapest, Prague, Vienna. Taxi stand you will find outside the main entrance as well as at the top floor car park.   ARRIVING BY BUS

The Regional Bus Station (MDA - Malopolski Dworzec Autobusowy) is located in the city centre, and it neighbours on the Central Railway Station. The detailed schedule of departures is available here.

  ARRIVING BY CAR

Kraków is located 300 km south of Warsaw. The A4 motorway, via Wroclaw and Katowice, leads to Kraków from Western Europe. The speed limit in Poland is generally 50km/hr in cities, 90km/hr outside urban areas, 120km/hr on dual carriageways and 140km/hr on motorways. All cars must have their headlights switched on at all times and carry a red warning triangle, first aid kit, replacement bulbs, a national identity sticker and proper registration and insurance documents.

Traffic restriction zones (P1 - P6) are obligatory in the city from Monday till Saturday, 10.00 am - 8.00 pm. The conference venue is located in the city center, in paid zones. It is necessary to pay parking fees within paid zones ( price 6,- PLN/per hour;). Parking cars in these zones without payment of parking fees is prohibited, except in the case of vehicles belonging to persons or organizations granted free access and parking public transportation vehicles in designated area. Parking is permitted only in designated areas. Absolute priority is given to pedestrians and the maximum driving speed should not exceed 20km/h. More details here. We strongly suggest leaving your car on the hotel parking and use the public transportation or walk.

CURRENCY

Most foreign currencies can be easily exchange either in banks or in private exchange offices (“kantor”). Foreign currency (cash) is not acceptable in shops.

The common opening hours are 10.00 a.m.  – 7.00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
​​​​​​On Saturdays shops are mostly closed at 2 pm and generally closed on Sundays.​​​​​

Post offices are open Monday to Friday 8.00 am – 4.00 pm and closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Post boxes are red and post is usually collected twice daily. Stamps can be bought only at post offices.
